Composer's Note:

"I’m a fan of the abstract – studying a topographic map to visualize the implied relief of a landscape; pondering the rules architecture of an old board game; witnessing a Merce Cunningham dance piece – experiences with no obvious plot or story arc. So it’s ironic that this piece, Bablook: Planet of Hands, is so unabashedly cinematic and narrative. What can I say? – the piece revealed itself to me on its own terms. The result seems to me like the soundtrack to an elaborate yet inadvertently satirical comic book." -Conor Abbott Brown
